Welcome to the Art Bible Study
Dr. Lindsay Siemers loves to put the Bible into picture form. How much more does the Word of God come to life when there is an image attached to a verse or a chapter of the Bible that your imagination can take hold of? Is this not how the Bible is described to children in a Sunday school
class? Though this Bible study is not geared toward children, the same principle applies to adults, "An image is worth a thousand words."
God is the creator of mankind and we are made in his image. Therefore we are made to create just as God did. God said to Joshua, "See I have given the city into your hands" (Josh 6:1), when as yet Jericho was still standing. But the word picture had been painted in Joshua's mind, and he believed God, so much so that the city was as good as conquered at that very moment. We will study a passage in the Bible that is highlighted by the accompanying image that was inspired by the passage.
May the God of the Bible bring his word to life, removing any veil over it, and may you be greatly blessed by its
full scope. In Jesus' name, amen.
