Breaking Bearries - The Bearing

This pencil drawing, 30x22, speaks of not just of a bear, but the bearing of life. We bear each other's burdens; we bear witness, we bear the word, we bear fruit, we bear arms, we bear gifts, we bear vessels of the Lord, we bear the weight of glory, we bear the image of God. We can also choose to bear our own sin, guilt, iniquity, or shame. However, the sin-bearing Servant Messiah, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has provided a way for us to give Him the heaviness of our bearing, and He takes the weight of our heavy burden by the blood of the cross, freeing us from this weight ( Isaiah 53), for love bears all things 1 Corinthians 13:7.
